Birdshot brings you Day-of-Course II - Of-Course... It Returns! on August 21st. This time we're doing away with the design contest (because water = votes) and instead running the event as a non-sanctioned two round tournament (at mini prices!).
Once again I'm putting out the call for portable/practice baskets. Please let me know if you have a decent practice basket that you can bring down to the event. We are going to hold the event on the same piece of land in the Clear Lake area where we had the last one. With luck, we'll get better weather. More details to follow. |

Hell, there is enough room for five or six courses. |

As Day-of-Course is neither a sanctioned event nor a mini Birdshot is going to try something completely new with payout; and to start we're doing away with divisions at the Day-of-Course II event. No Novice, no Advanced and no Open.
Instead we're going to give players the opportunity to play in a pool based on payout percentage. The smaller the payout percentage, the higher the cost of entry. If you think you can finish in the top 30% of a pool, pay $15 and enter the 30% payout pool. If your game hasn't been on for you, enter the 50% payout pool for only $5. If you're always in the top of the heap, challenge other players to put up $50 and join you in a pool that only pays the top 10%. This new system should lead to bigger prize amounts and more exciting competition between players. The more you pay to play the smaller the number of winners in the pool and the bigger the prize amounts. Remember also, this is a cash prize event as it is non-sanctioned. Fees & Payout: $5 entry into the top 50% payout pool $10 entry into the top 40% payout pool $15 entry into the top 30% payout pool $20 entry into the top 20% payout pool $50 entry into the top 10% payout pool Anyone going to jump in the 10% pool? Finally, we still need basket volunteers. Please let me know if you have a basket and would like to volunteer it for the Day-of-Course event. You do not have to attend Day-of-Course II to volunteer a basket! Also, we need a couple of folks with small trucks to help with set-up. Message me and let me know. I've currently got eight baskets volunteered. Folks, if you've got a basket and can donate it to this tournament for one day, let me know. We need to get more confirmed baskets added to the list. |

I know Chris just put a call out again last week for more baskets to be volunteered for this, but he hasn't gotten much response yet the past few days so I'm putting it out here again. I cannot stress enough just how great this went the first time around...even in a huge downpour! It's a perfect spot for a disc golf course...and although it's not feasible to try to get one in permanently, we can do these day-of events from time to time with your help...and if you had been there the first time & seen what a great course it is, you would be jumping on the bandwagon already to make this happen! Trust me on this one....if you're not doing anything else that Saturday you want to be there...and you want to get in touch with Chris & get involved!

I'm not sure what the status is on baskets right at this moment, but if you'd like to volunteer to bring one this Saturday please get in touch & let us know!
