Of course that site said registration would be open January 15th which would answer the entry fee question but no sign yet.

BTW the pictures on the registration page are horrible. I mean why create an image of old rusty baskets and soil erosion?

Seems like a better choice of photos would have worked a little better.

I do agree with scoot_er on this one... While I thought that (western...rusty basket, rugged) theme worked well last year with the tournament being held at Tom Bass.. I think it paints a very negative and non deserving mental image of Jack Brooks..

If I didn't know any better I would be thinking (from the pictures) exactly what duffyskin said... I don't agree with what duffy said btw..I think it was rude and out-of-line.....but people who are NOT very aware of the work that's been going on down there over the past few years are going to be thinking exactly what duffy said...

JMO but I think with this being such a high profile NT...It needs a complete image makeover... shiny new and green, bright skies, blue water, new baskets, green meadows, colorful flowers budding in spring...

I've been meaning to get new photos up on the site but there is a lot of other things going on with States right now that need my attention. Soon I'll have photos of the talking walrus on the site.

The course is looking great. That extra mulch that was laid on the holes is making it look real nice. The cedar tee boxs are going to look awesome when done.
I also like the new additions to some alternates that are being made on the new course. Hole 10 is going to be awesome.

I was just glad to see the slum lords cleaning up the neighborhood. Us poor folk down here can use all the help we can get.

Online registration is now up for Texas States. Y'all go crazy.

Also, I posted some photos of the work that is going on at Brooks to the Birdshot Facebook page.
