amazing course. i loved the tighter parts unlike some of the hole at SV they are realistic to make a decent shot.

i liked that every hole had a shot to lay it up, or go big and risk it all.
also loved the back part of the course. it was open, but made you still place a shot in the fairway or your screwed.

i will shoot that course better next time now that i know it.

great round and a great card, if i dont get called in next week im there. playing 3 months and cashing was awesome too. definitely helps the confidence

nothing unrealistic about Spring Valley. throw straight, hit your lines, take your birdies, and eliminate as many bogies as possible

I even have to admit that they eat my lunch every time I play them and it makes me mad because they really are just basic fundamentals.

Hole 19: The fairway on is about 60-70 feet wide and that should be an easy fairway to stay in but because it has almost no obstacles I drive as far as I can and that is my own EGO issue.

Hole 20 is also about basic fundamental. a 230 foot island hole and if you miss it you move to the drop zone that is about 170 ft to the basket. I have gotten so many OBs on this hole even from the DZ. I walked off an estimated 170 ft on several holes and I EASILY landed close to the basket on the other holes but for some reason an island hole is intimidating or messes with my psyche.

Hole 21 is pretty boring right now but once we get the ditch properly marked as OB and we plant some quality trees it is going to turn into a nice finish to the course.

The main purpose of the holes was two fold: 1. get traffic flow away from the play ground to make the school more comfortable. 2. Have the course finish much closer to the parking lot. I think we accomplished both well.

Can't wait to hear others opinion.

Between June n October there should be an umbrella stand on #19 tee box. Lack of shade would be my only complaint, that and my lack of skills!

Doug how does this sound? Lets make 19 harder! I noticed a dead line around the fence that could be used for O.B. so people can't just roll or flick into the fence!

Jim,
I like the idea. Lets keep talking about it. Did you have players in your division land up against the fence on Sat?
Peace

that's a good idea because the flick is just a bail out shot that somewhat defeats the purpose of the hole
