It isnt too bad as of last night. It rained for a short while yesterday, but not enough to create puddles. It is a tad mushy on some of the Tee's, but the real issue right now is Mosquitos! yikes!

I played TC Jester for the first time in a long while. The course looked great, nice and dry, and no skeeters. I really wish the city could put another 9 holes on the other end of the park there. Dosen't look like it gets much use.

My nephew is new to disc golf and it was his first time there. He really enjoyed it.

Rest assured Phil, there are some of us working on it.

I've mapped out another 9 holes in and out of the woods across the bayou from hole #4.

I'd be jazzed as all get-out to have an 18-hole course so close to my home!

It would be a great addition and would be closer to the skate park.

What is up with TC Jester? The parking lot is closed and you have to park in the street. Also, I think the #1 basket is missing from what I have been told. Anyone have any ideas?

I was there last Thursday. They are redoing some of the park and the parking lot is no longer there. It's easy enough to park across from teebox #1 though. All the baskets are there, but the teebox for #7 is missing. So I skipped seven but was able to play the rest of the holes without any trouble.

Angry Re: Current Course Conditions

I visited TC Jester yesterday to assess the situation with the course and I was quite disappointed to see what is going on.

There is a temporary roadway cutting across #1 and #9's fairways. There is some fencing and some caution tape surrounding the roadway, but I'm guessing that it is probably only temporary.

They have trenched all over #7 and #8 fairways to install landscaping irrigation systems and electrical wiring.

The #7 short tee box is completely gone and the area where it formerly resided looks like it will become the "stage" area of the amphitheater which has been constructed right smack in the middle of the #7 fairway. The long tee box pole is still there although it looks like it's taken a beating. Throwing from the #7 long tee will take the flight of the disc right across the amphitheater stage.

The #8 basket has a lot of trenches around the basket area, and there are new light poles going in along #9's fairway next to the walking path. It looks like it might continue all the way down to #4's fairway too.

The parking situation is going to be a mess. They've redesigned the parking lot, but it looks like we'll probably end up with fewer parking spots than before.

I won't be running league out there until they've moved all of the heavy equipment out of there and I'd guess that it's going to be at least another month.
