I had to weed threw the post to get this...

Do ya'll think its a bad idea?

Honestly, we haven't given it much thought because there has been little demand for it. You're the first person I've heard ask this question."ChrisMacG"

This is why I am bringing this up. Most people like to see there rating as soon as possible. This is just one small thing to improve a Birdshot tournament.

Most of the Birdshot tourneys I recall have had scores uploaded that same night. Good enough for me. "EricJ"

Does that mean you don't want to get any better?

Results are almost always posted the same night....there have been maybe one or two exceptions, but for most part Chuck and/or Tiffany and/or Dolla Bill have them up that night! I'm not sure what's prompting your query, Jim? "Bmugwump"

What's prompting the question? B-TIER.
The possibility of out of town players.
The fact that it can and does get done by other TDs.
This is why I am bringing it up in October.

I've never seen a player check the PDGA website for round ratings during a tourney.

There is no wireless internet access at Jack Brooks Park - the closest I could find is in La Marque at the McDonald's. Anyone want to volunteer to take the first round results up to McD's for an upload during the tourney?

Seriously though, we are looking to improve our tournaments and we do want feedback so thanks Jim. I just don't see a lot of value-add or demand in mid-tourney uploads.

We did get Boondoggle's Pub to cater the event though. They're bringing out sandwiches and such for players who opt for the food option. We're also adding a Friday doubles round and Griff will be taking shots at the fake rabbit at the dog track from the other side of 2004. What more could you ask for?

Food options, that sounds nice!

Well, Birdshot can I help take the tournament information to a local hot spot to send the information to the pdga.com? I would like to do it at lunch time and after the tournament at the Mac G. tournament?

Do ya’ll for see any problems with doing this?

Do ya’ll have any suggestions for some local hot spots?

I am not playing in the Mac G tournament but I would like to come down and help get this accomplished and watch some rounds as a spectator.

Hey Chris and Jim. I have a "tether" for my Verizon cell phone which cables up to my laptop and hooks it up to the Internet via their 3G network. At Tom Bass last year, I was getting close to 1.2 MB throughput out of it.

It costs me $30/month to enable it, but I can do it for a month and then shut it down again. Are either of you interested?

Loch & Load won't be a problem. My wife works at UH and will upload the rounds from her office, about 5 minutes from the course. Thanks for the offer though.
