Default Stolen Basket: Gulf Meadows #9

Can't believe it! Some fools have pulled and made off with #9 basket from the Gulf Meadows Course.

Be on the look-out... Easy to find the fools. They'll be the ones with the halo above their heads.

R.J. texted me last night about this! The worst part about it is...if it's a disc golfer, who among us has the audacity to do it? And how could you continue to come out & play with everybody & not feel the least bit guilty about it? Which makes me hope that it's not one of us....and maybe the same idiots who pulled out 17 on the other course & threw it into the pond! Except this time, where did they take it? Disc golf must be the Rodney Dangerfield of sports.....it just can't get no respect!

I was just talking with Chuck about this & was talking about finding the culprits & putting them in front of the Birdshot firing squad...we used to joke about that at tourneys, that if anybody broke any rules they would have to face the Birdshot firing squad (where they would have to line up & Chuck & I would throw discs at them...except the joke was they would probably escape unscathed because we would miss them). Well...we're much better now! Then Chuck said we could tie them up where basket 9 used to be and have a CTH (Closest To the Head!) competition...that made me laugh! Say Ah! Chunk!!!! Ooooooh...good one!.....Bastards!

Billy and I are much better now. We just can't get PDGA to acknowledge that with those low ratings they keep giving us. This is a little off the subject. Wouldn't it be neat to rent one of those dunking booths and have players throw a disc at the target to dunk the person sitting on the stool.

Technically Tiff is part of Birdshot and should be part of the squad as well, and as the sole survivor of that wrath, I can attest that it was only her prowess at physical therapy that rivals her wrath.

I just got off the phone with the Parks Maintanance Director. He has his best detectives working the issue. Said he'll get back with me on ideas to remedy the issue. At least he heard me out.

I don't know about the dunking booth idea but I do have a suggestion. If we have to purchase a new basket, perhaps Birdshot could donate $ from the maintenance fees collected at Brooks during league and tournaments. Every dollar counts!

Shouldn't the Parks people at Jack Brooks still have the old practice basket that was located by the south parking lot? Otherwise I'm sure we can put out the call and have a basket fundraiser at Brooks.

The "practice" basket was part of the 18 installed at the other course.

How about TLV letting us borrow a basket till we raise the replace funds. I have a sleeve from my man Lou. Replacing the basket as soon as possible so the turds don't get the satisfaction of seeing it gone is of utmost importance, everything else is blah, blah, blah talk...
