That would be a good idea. Having multiple locations around the area would probably get an even larger turnout. We'll have to see how big it is this year. Another option is to have back to back rounds at the same course but then pre-regisrration would probably be required to determine who'd play the morning or afternoon round. Either that or play at a location that has more than one course like Brooks.

Back in the day.................we had several events through the season. Kent Bray did a thing a Nottingham, Moffitt and something at Cedar Brook. Believe it or not...........we won the competition or something near to that a couple years running.
Some old guys would know more. Ask Conrad or Stimpy or Richard A. |

FYI: Just about any course/organization, e.g. Windwood, can host an Ice Bowl if they want. More details here: http://icebowlhq.com/ |

Great link Eric. Wow! Mile High Disc Golf raised $15,000 last year! Surely Houston can do better than that!
I'm not sure how big the turn out will be at Moffitt but for those that don't want to drive south, Windwood's mini this Saturday will also have a fundraiser to help HFDS for the donation to the Houston Food Bank. |

LOL! Yeah, anything south of Gunspoint, I mean Greenspoint is considered south. Some folks think 1960 is the line!
![]() Either way I hope there's lots of snow and ice on the course just for the fun of it. This should be a hoot! |

I don't know the exact numbers and years off of the top of my head, however for the first several years Houston was always one of the top Ice Bowl cities. We won the basket for being the top city more than once. Seems like Arlington was always battling us for the top spot.
Of course back then a lot more effort went into raising funds for the Food Bank. As Suemac mentioned Kent Bray ran his Soup Bowl events, Mr. Ed ran the Discathon at Moffitt, and Jack Camp got a nice matching donation from BP. Ice Bowl has always been more about fun than competition. If it was more of a competitive event or if we made a big push towards raising funds again I could see the justification for using more than one course. Otherwise to me it seems that having a large group all in one location ideal. And just for the record, I'm not old I'm just high mileage.
