Yepper.

We will be holding the awards ceremony for The Moffitt Show at the Brittmoore Ice House immediately after the Show.

Steaks will be available for those that want them - we'll just need to get an idea of how many want them and phone that info into the Ice House during the 2nd round. We are all set to go for the party at Brittmoore afterwards though.

Donations are still trickling in but we're asking that if anyone has any new discs or merchandise that they'd like to donate to the "cause" we'd gladly accept them. Donations of merchandise to support this event's payout would be greatly appreciated.

There is going to be a "special presentation" announced at this year's Moffitt Show that will be of interest to all HFDS club members, old and new.

And although we've still called this the "5-card Stroke" game, there is actually a 6th card again this year. The soon to be "infamous" card called the "I Don't Think So" card. If someone makes a fantastic shot, you can play an "I Don't Think So" card on them to make them do it again. You can't play it on someone to take away an Ace, but it's legal on any other shot! I think last year, Conrad had 2 or 3 of the I Don't Think So cards played on him on #18. He "parked" all of his drives anyway, but still ended up with a 3 on the hole when someone played an Opposite Hand Putt on his second shot. (Sounds like it was pure "evil" on that hole for Conrad!)

Yep. The date has remained fairly consistent over the years though...it's traditionally been held on the 1st or 2nd weekend of March. I'll go through my notes and see if I can come up with all of the dates since 2002. I recall that we once held it in February, and I think once we had to hold it on the last weekend in March. I know that we try to space it out a bit between Ice Bowl, Texas State Am Doubles and Texas States. A lot of our tournaments are crammed into the first four months of the year because it is the best time of year weather-wise...

Many can probably recall the days when tournaments were few and far between, now we have multiple events to choose from almost every weekend. It's good to have choices!

I've got a shirt with March 1, 2003. That was the year that the temp dropped like 30 degrees in 30 minutes and we turned the easy up on its side for a wind block.
