Tourney Trophy Birdshot presents: The Back-Up Plan - Jun 11 - Spring Valley

EDIT: TOURNEY MOVED TO SPRING VALLEY

Kudos to Tiffany Brogdon for coming up with one of our best titles yet for a tournament! Saturday June 11th will be the fourth tournament of the year in the Birdshot Championship Series...held at one of the nicest courses on the Nawth Side, McDade Park in Conroe! More details & online registration should be up very soon at www.houstonbirdshot.com ...I'll get with Chris today & ask him to get that set up ASAP. In the meantime, go ahead & mark that date on your disc golf calendars...nobody hit the ace at Windwood this past Saturday, so that means that $500 will once again be waiting for someone at McDade...and someone ALWAYS hits an ace at our tourneys at McDade, so it will most likely happen again! Be there!

So if more than one person hits an ace, do they split the $500 or does one get the $500 and the other gets the 2nd ace pot? One gets an ace on the 1st round ( or aces first ) get the $500 the one hits an ace on the 2nd round ( or aces 2nd ) gets the other ace pot? The 2nd ace pot should be starting to get big now huh? How much is it standing at right now before McDade?

The $500 ace pot is to be split among all players who hit an ace during the tourney (all tourney rounds).

The second ace pot will probably get to $500 by the time NR,SOHY gets here. It got a big boost from HPO2.

I also wanted to remind people that the City of Conroe made this entire park a non-smoking park last year, just in case some of us smokers forgot. I mean, they don't even want you smoking in the parking lot! Fire marshalls might be out there & parks people definitely will be out there, so this would be a good time to be in training for Worlds if you're going (both Pro & Am Worlds will be non-smoking this year). For those of you who've never played out there (there might be a couple of you), there is a fenced in property with a house on it right in the middle of the park. The owner does not take too kindly to people coming into his yard...hence the title of this tournament! And seriously....if you throw a disc in there, forget about it...it's a goner. No, really....stay out of his yard! You could get shot even! He doesn't even like people walking out in the street in front of his house, so the parks people usually park there to keep people off. We're not making this stuff up! So....no smoking....and no going on to the guy's property...other than that, should be fun!

brilliant griff...this almost makes me want to start smoking just so that i can go into his yard to see what all the mystique is about. it must be a pretty special yard. i bet a leprechaun lives back there. maybe it is where rainbows end.

Maybe that is where the bodies are buried.

I throw away from his fence line on number 8, but if my $25 disc happens to end up on his property, you bet I'm getting it! He doesn't like people going commando on his barb wire fence, so I go to the end of the hole, walk around the fence, retreive my disc, then walk back around the end of the fence. Never had an issue, yet. If he does shoot me, my family will get a nice settlement and he could face mansaughter charges. Just saying. I've never met the man, but I'm sure the legend created isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. BTW, terrible name for a tournament unless he's been approached and was a donkey about it.

Pretty sure there's been harsh words back & forth between the guy & players...plus the guy & parks people! I mean, the parks department people are who warns us before every tourney we've done there to stay away from his yard!!! I think it's a great tourney name, Tiff....don't pay any attention to Christian!
